Fossicking for Sapphires

You’ve done the tour and now you can try your luck at fossicking for sapphires.

Not all sapphires are found so deep below the surface that you need an underground mine to find them.

Here at Bobby Dazzler Mine Tours we have our very own fossicking field where people have been finding sapphires for years using very simple and very basic techniques that were used by the prospectors that opened up the gemfields around Rubyvale.

The techniques may be simple but many prospectors struck it rich using those techniques and we’ll teach them to you. And anything you find … you can keep.
